Asbestos Management Training

Asbestos Training is an essential part of keeping employees who work in asbestos environments safe. It provides individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to protect themselves at work by learning the correct practices of recognising, managing and removing asbestos. It also educates them on the importance of wearing correctly fitted protective equipment.

Our asbestos instructors are competent as required under the relevant sections of CAR 2012 (Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012). They also hold the BOHS P405 Management of Asbestos in Buildings qualification.

On-Site Asbestos Courses

Our expert instructors can visit your site to carry out your asbestos training. We will schedule our courses to take place at a date and time that suits you, limiting disruption and making it easier to arrange staff cover.

We are also able to tailor our asbestos training service to your organisations’ needs, ensuring that you receive an asbestos course targeted to your exact requirements. Not only are our expert instructors all highly qualified in their own subject areas, they also have the BOHS P405 Asbestos Management qualification.

Asbestos Awareness Training

It is a legal requirement that anybody who might come across asbestos in their day to day work has been provided with asbestos awareness training specific to the tasks they will undertake.

Any organisation that allows builders or maintenance personnel onto their premises should ensure that they have evidence of asbestos awareness training. This is a half day course.

Asbestos Management Training

As set out in the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, all duty holders with known or presumed asbestos within their properties must have in place an effective Asbestos Management Plan.

The purpose of having an asbestos management plan is to manage any known or presumed asbestos. This ensures that its potential danger is tightly controlled and risks are kept to an absolute minimum.

Non-Licensed Asbestos Training

Designed to suitably train delegates to carry out work with non-licensable asbestos materials as detailed in HSE guidance document HSG210-Asbestos Essentials.

Non-licensed tasks include; removal of cement sheets and rainwater goods, cement soffit, Artex, vinyl floor tiles, drilling of Artex, asbestos insulation board, cements, vinyl floor tiles etc. Training is tailored to specific requirements of those attending.

Online Training Courses

Training and Testing Services offer Asbestos Awareness E-learning courses. Aimed at tradesmen, architects and designers, these courses include recognising the signs of asbestos and where it might be used.

IATP Membership

There is no requirement in the UK for any Asbestos Training Provider to be a Member of any Organisation; however there is a requirement to prove Competence and Compliance.

All IATP Members Auditors details are listed opposite their company for clarity and transparency. This enables enforcing officers, governing bodies and potential clients to be able to confirm the provider is competent or contact the auditor directly if required.
