Frequently Asked Questions

Here are the most frequently asked questions we receive at Training and Testing Services regarding our training courses and services. If you have a question that is not covered here please contact us.

Do you have a list of all the courses you offer?

Do you run public courses?
Yes Training and Testing Services run face fit train the tester in North Yorkshire and face fit train the tester in South London.

Are you accredited?
Yes. We offer the highest standard of training possible so all our trainers and services are accredited. Firstly, all our abrasive wheel trainers are BAF accredited, our face fit testers are fit2fit accredited and finally we are members of BSIF. Most importantly all our training is delivered in line with current and up to date HSE legislation and guidance, which ensures you are receiving the best quality training and testing services.

Training Requirements – Frequently Asked Questions

Do you ONLY train on behalf of companies?
We also run open courses where individuals can buy a training space. See our public open courses here and book online today.

Can you just train one person?
Yes. We do not have a minimum number of trainees; however we do have a minimum charge which varies depending on which course you require. Alternatively you can send your staff member to one of our open courses.

Can you train at my house?
No. All training must be conducted on a commercial site or premises.

How much notice do you need?
We always try to work within the customer’s timescale, so it is worth contacting us to find out availability. However, it is advisable to give as much notice as possible to avoid disappointment.

Do you take last minute bookings?
If we have availability we will always try to accommodate you. However, if we are able to fulfil a booking with less than 7 days’ notice then we will require pre-payment for the course.

Can I book 1 face fit test?

We are asked this question frequently. We often run open face fit test sessions – see our upcoming dates.

What are your working hours?
Our standard course times run between 9:00am and 5:00pm. We will always work with our customers and within reason we can consider training out of these hours, please mention it at the time of enquiry. The office is open from 9:00am until 5:00pm Monday to Friday. We also have a reception team who answer our calls during busy periods and outside of these hours.

Payment

How can I pay?
For all on-site training courses we accept bank transfer or credit/debit card. Open Courses booked online and online training can be paid by card.

Can I have a credit account?
Yes. Customers can apply for a 30 day (net) account – ask us for a credit application form. However, paperwork/certificates are not provided until cleared payment has been received.

Paperwork

Do you provide wallet card certificates.
Yes. Wallet cards can be provided for face fit testing, train the tester and train the trainer courses. Please ask at the time of booking.

Do you send a hard copy certificate?
Our certificates are produced in line with our environmental policy. With this in mind certificates (except BAF accredited abrasive wheel training) are emailed as PDF copies to reduce the effect on the environment.

Additional Services

Do you sell face fit testing kits?
Yes we sell our own Face Fit Test kits to anyone attending our face fit train the tester courses. They can be ordered at the time of course booking.

Do you sell RPE/PPE?
We sell RPE/PPE at a competitive price to our customers. The full range or products can be found at our TTS Supplies store.
