Today marks a very special milestone for us – Training & Testing Services is 18 years old!
On 1st September 2008, Training & Testing Services opened its doors for the very first time. Eighteen years later, it feels quite incredible to look back at how far we have come.
What started as a small family business has grown into an established specialist training provider, delivering training and testing to businesses and organisations across the UK.
Over the years, our courses and services have developed considerably. Today, we specialise in areas including Face Fit Testing, Face Fit Train the Tester courses, Abrasive Wheel Training and Train the Trainer courses, as well as Respiratory Protective Equipment training.
We are incredibly proud to be able to offer fit2fit approved Face Fit Train the Tester courses and BAF accredited Abrasive Wheel training, but some of our proudest achievements aren’t certificates or accreditations. They’re the relationships we’ve built along the way.
18 years of people, not just training
During the last 18 years, thousands of people have walked through our doors or attended one of our courses around the UK.
We’ve worked with everyone from small independent businesses to some of the country’s largest organisations, but our approach has always remained the same: provide knowledgeable, practical training and look after our customers properly.
Many of the businesses we work with today have been customers for years, and we never take that loyalty for granted.
We’ve also been incredibly fortunate to have some fantastic people work alongside us over the years. Like any family business, there have been plenty of long days, challenges, changes and probably more cups of tea than we could ever count!
A lot has changed since 2008
The world of health and safety, respiratory protection and workplace training has changed enormously since we started.
Standards have developed, technology has moved forward and the way businesses access training has evolved. We’ve evolved with it too. Continually developing our knowledge, investing in equipment and improving the training and services we provide.
But there are some things we haven’t wanted to change.
We are still a family-run business. We still believe customers should be able to pick up the phone and speak to a real person. And we still believe that good training shouldn’t simply be about ticking a box. People should leave a course understanding what they’ve learned and why it matters.

Reaching 18 years wouldn’t have been possible without the people who have supported Training & Testing Services along the way.
So today, we’d simply like to say thank you.
Thank you to every customer who has booked a course, recommended us to someone else or returned to us year after year.
Thank you to our trainers and testers, past and present, who have represented TTS across the country.
Thank you to our suppliers, industry colleagues and everyone else who has played a part in our journey.
And, of course, thank you to the family and team behind the scenes who have helped keep everything moving through both the good times and the more challenging ones.
18 years down – and we’re certainly not finished yet.
We’re incredibly proud of what Training & Testing Services has become and excited to see what the next chapter brings.
